If déjà vue is indeed a form of precognition and not just an illusion, I don’t think that you are seeing into parallel worlds, but rather into one of your possible futures.
This is because while you now and your future self are only separated by time, you and your alternate reality counterpart are separated by whatever it is that bounds dimensions, if such dimensions even exist.
That being said, I personally think that there are parallel worlds. It also may be that causality is a far stronger barrier than that between dimensions, so you could be right. If this is so it would stand to reason though that there would be more occurrences of Presque vue; when you could be right. If this is so it would stand to reason though that there would be more occurrences of presque vue; remembering an event but with a small change.
Thoughts?
I welcome questions.
(note: Though I rant, I do so with care and am not bashing your post.)
Since this subject was inspired by a book you've picked up, it may be better placed in the book forum.
You may even wish to be a bit more constructive and build up your post so that there is plenty to reply to. As it is, I've several paragraphs nice-and-ready as a potential reply. But I'm not dropping any of it here until it seems appropriate.
I love reading Russian Literature!!!
