Reading What Sucks

At the time of the posting of this entry, there will be 2,627 post in the 'What Sucks' section of the forums. 'What Sucks' exceeds the 'Current Events' section by five post and the 'Other Topics' by 602.

It sucks that so much in life can suck.

This is a topic that has appeared with regular frequency, over the nearly 3 years that I've been here.
As a means of proving various points, people have mentioned that "what sucks" out numbers "what rocks" by a factor of nearly 2-to-1. In fact, I dare say that this topic is the single most popular section.
We can read all sorts of stuff into that fact, but I think it's really simple, and can be equated to this truism: laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone. NAO would seem to the the "alone space" that we go to cry about things.

*upon inspection of the statistics*...yup, it's confirmed. What Sucks is second only to Journals, where, not incidentally, most people tend to comment on that which sucks.
