Good Morning!

?% | 1

Product test, Axbo sleep phase alarm clock for €199, day 1:
Latest waking time 7:10, by soft music, in a phase of light sleep. We wear a radio wristband that monitors our sleep and transmits the data to the alarm clock. The alarm clock's software can be updated via a USB connector.

07:10:00: BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!
*bang*

07:10:10: *whoosh* *whisper* *pling* *soft music*

Test result so far: There's no denying that the testers were wide awake at 07:10:02. What all the high-tech stuff is for remains to be discovered.

Consider yourself hugged.

Re: Good Morning!

Day 2. Null folded. The alarm clock wakes me up at 6.50. Can't remember if I wasn't already awake. Not sure but didn't feel fresh at all. Will give the clock at least a one-week-chance. So far it didn't convince me. What about all the promises it makes? To be continued...

Haha, do you own one of those? (And wasn't Clocky originally developed by an MIT student according to his own personal needs?)

Re: Good Morning!

Day 3: The clock wakes me up at last waking time. I don't feel fresh.
Day 4: The clock wakes me up at 6.30, I don't feel fresh either, it's far too early. (Last waking time: 7.00). I stay in bed till 7.00. Too bad.

I assume there are no light sleep phases in my mornings.

OK, this is an excellent post. This is just such and inocuous thing, but ZOWIE!! Like IKEA, you got people hooked on household items :)

I'm going to have to get one of these things....

Personally, my favorite part is the name:"schlaf phasen wecker". I have no idea what that means, but it sounds very cool, and Star-Trekky. I love hearing people talk in Germanic, its hot and sexxi ;)
Now if i could only learn to read it, i'd be happy.

Hahaha! You and 50 million native speakers. :-)

A "Schlaf-phasen-wecker" is a "sleep-phase-alarm clock". And don't buy one, I for one am glad we didn't have to buy ours, 200 bucks is way too much money for that thing. I mean, it's cool and high-tech and all, but the neatest feature is its soft blue light which you can turn on with a button on the remote on your wristband. That, and you can connect your alarm clock to the computer... but both features get old fast.
Nothing like a bag of IKEA tealights at all.

Or maybe we just have sleep habits too weird for the alarm clock to handle.

Re: Good Morning! indeed!!

After two weeks I understand that the clock does wake me up in light sleep phases or even when I got awake. So I think it fulfills his task but I'm too sleepy every morning.
I'll post more as soon as I get the second test object ;)
