Word vomit

88% | 3

Some mornings i wake up, remembering nothing of the nights dreams, with a poem or phrase or lyrics lying at the front of my mind. so it's not one of my greatest works, but it's been floating around my mind for a few days and thought i should just write the damn thing down and be done with it. has not been edited at all, this is just pure word vomit.

Of all the lies I love to hold
The truest one is seldom told
I hold myself too hard to break
I do not sleep so I don’t wake
Of my fear I’ll never tell
I lie within a patterned shell
Intricate yet unappealing
You’d never guess what it’s concealing
I follow my head and not my heart
I don’t despair, I play the part
I remain composed despite the odds
Never surprised - I simply nod
Yet for all my restraint I am content
There’s nothing lived I do repent

Look at me! I'm a prostitute robot from the future!

Re: Word vomit

Thank you. Oddly enough my perceptions altered almost immediately after posting this.

My instincts have been right on the money lately, i think i shall have to listen to them a little more closely if i want this winning streak in life to continue.

Look at me! I'm a prostitute robot from the future!
