Very chocolate-y chocolate cake

91% | 2

The cake:

200g sugar
200g butter
6 eggs
400g flour
100g milk chocolate
100g dark chocolate (60-70%)
1 bag of baking powder

Mix flour, sugar, egg yolks, butter, baking powder and molten chocolate. Beat egg whites and fold in. Bake at approx. 180°C for 50-80 minutes (stick a needle through the center to check if it's done, the needle should be moist but no dough sticking to it). Remove from baking tin and let it sit for 1-2 hours.

The glaze:

100g black Lindor chocolate
25g (just a piece of) Lindor orange chocolate
30g butter
1 gulp of water
1 splash of lemon juice

Melt everything, pour it over the cake and spread it evenly.

Cover the cake with a bowl and let it sit over night.

Good appetite!

Great recipe! I'm getting hungry just by reading it :)
Could turn out quite as an alternative to my beloved one's French Chocolate torte.

Naturally, I love Jesus very much. I love him so much that I'd like to crucify him all over again.

1 bag of baking powder

Just in case there's different measuring systems, what's the size of the bag?

If I go ahead with this recipe, it would be my first time baking a cake without using a pre-fab cake mix, and I feel that adding too much/little could risk ruining the cake.

Re: Very chocolate-y chocolate cake

what's the size of the bag?

I think 15g (about 1/2 oz). The exact amount shouldn't be that important, just add more to get a huge and light cake, omit it altogether for a chocolate brick, or pick something inbetween.

At any rate, good luck and tell me if it worked :-)

This sounds wonderful.

I do have to convert the measurements so that I can make this.
Not to worry, I will convert them and make this cake...I'm feeling the need for chocolate!
Thank you. :)

It only looks that way because your standing on your head.
