Re: Mace IRL

So my friend whom I will be staying with in Berlin booked some time off work because he wants to take me to Amsterdam. The problem is, I believe he booked off the 18th (the day we were potentially meeting in Munich).

So nothing is set in stone, but I want to check with you guys and see if maybe you'd be available to meet up in Munich the weekend before (12th & 13th). Of course, my schedule during most of the week is still open as well. :)

So far I haven't been able to get my passport because I lost my birth certificate last time I moved (it could be in one of about 15 boxes sitting in a storage locker, but I have had no luck finding it). So I've ordered a new birth certificate and it should be coming with plenty of time left to get my passport. I'm not worried yet, but I figured I'd mention it since there is a small chance I won't get it in time.

Re: Mace IRL

Well, I got my passport and everything is in order. I'll be taking off Friday. I figure if we don't have any solid plans yet, we probably won't get the chance to meet up this time around. Hopefully I will be able to visit that part of the world again sometime in the near future.

If anyone feels dead-set on meeting up, we can still try it, but I don't have a phone number for where I will be staying. You can get in touch with me here, or through email (mike dot cooney at gmail dot com).

I will take a bunch of pictures and will hopefully have some interesting stories to relate afterward. :)

Re: Mace IRL

Sorry, I haven't been able to get online since I got here. There is no internet connection where I've been staying. I am in an internet cafe right now.

I am leaving for Holland for the weekend tomorrow. I regret missing the opportunity to meet you guys, but I am sure I will be back again sometime in the future.

Berlin has been an eye-opening experience for me. Things here are very much different from home. Not being able to speak the local language is certainly an intimidating thing. I'll post some pictures as soon as I can get them on a computer with an internet connection (my laptop is acting only as a backup right now).
