I have just finished reading Wole Soyinka's 'YOU MUST SET FORTH AT DAWN'.It is about the Nigeria's Political dark days. I recommend this author to all NAO members who have not heard of his writings.
My recommended Nigerian Books to read are
Wole Soyinka:The Man Died
Chinua Achebe: Things Fall Apart

I love Wole Soinka's works. I also suggest you 2 books by a Ghanaian author, Ayi Kwei Armah. One is Two Thousand Seasons, and the other is The Healers. Both of them very good, and describe well the story of Ghana.
Another author I really like is Sindiwe Magona. You can read Mother to Mother related to a post-apartheid South Africa, and also The Green Freedom of a Cacatua (I think this is the correct title; it is the latest novel and the first country in the world in which she released it was Italy, so I am not 100% positive about the title). This relates with the problem of AIDS in South Africa, the plague being seen through the eyes of the women. Eccellent work indeed.
Italy no longer accepts illegal immigrants. Mr. B sink their boats!!!!!!!
