Believe it or not but I'm keeping track of how many people say happy birthday to me today. Including here on NAO I'm up to 51. I have a very good reason for counting by the way. Last year a total of 6 people remembered my birthday. Which is pretty bad considering that after my immediate family, 2 other people remembered.

However, this year, 51 people remembered. [Please allow me to crap on for a while]:

That's OK. I've done enough crapping on. Let's see though. My music class singing happy birthday brought it up to 26, the guy who sucked up to me to get me to do a debate for him was no.27 maybe, my Chinese teacher saying it in Mandarin was no.33, this crazy kid called Josh doing a song and dance on top of a table at lunchtime would be 39, my cousins would be 41 & 42, 48 & 49 were Tremor and gentledeepwaters and my grandparents calling from Singapore would be 50 & 51.

It sure beats 6. And besides, I think I deserve it. It is my sweet 16th. :)

Happy birthday Jeanette! The part about your Chinese teacher saying it in Mandarin was pretty damn funny. It's "Sheng ri kuai le" isn't it? I keep forgetting how to write the "le". I think i shall drop Chinese next year, I'm starting to have to exert effort. As mel would say, "SHOCK HORROR, RACHEL!"

And now I need everybody's help. Today is Saturday and I did not go to sport. What's my alibi? You're 16, you should be good at created excuses by now, all those years in CGS...

The trick is to create alibis weeks in advance. Or as adavanced as you can. If you don't intend to do sport, avoid your name being on the list. If you can't, start thinking up excuses well in advance.

The thing is, I'm not around to provide free excuse making services. I can only guide you young people. It is an art, you have to discover it for yourself.
